Kelli Carr has more than 15 years of professional experience working in government affairs, public relations and on state and local campaigns. She recently departed from a local public affairs firm located in Sacramento, where she worked with clients ranging from businesses to nonprofit organizations, foundations and government entities.
Originally from the Central Valley, Kelli began her career at the California State Capitol, working in both Assembly and Senate offices. In addition, Kelli previously worked as a Staff Assistant in Washington, D.C. for Congressman William Thomas, then returned to California to work in the Office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Executive Office on Policy Development. Kelli’s experience also includes working as the California Government Affairs Representative for Farmers Insurance Group, Inc., and as a Special Investigator for the Fair Political Practices Commission, where she investigated violations of the Political Reform Act.
Kelli attended the Panetta Institute’s Congressional Internship Program in Monterey and Washington, D.C., where she studied under Leon E. Panetta, former Secretary of Defense. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Stanislaus.
Kelli lives in El Dorado Hills with her husband, children and two dogs.
